how do you make the volume lower on one side or mute it but bring some volume form the opposing side to edit the side lowered on another side in sections
cant seem to find out how to make the tools distinguish if you wanna edit the left or the right it just edits them both together but i dont need to do that
maybe this is a simple thing but cant find the right words to use on google to get it to come up or there are other topics like this or its in the guide but its very time wasting to find the time to read thru all those walls of text to get to the useful information

You need to split the stereo track.
Click on the little arrow next to the track name and you will get a drop down menu.
Once the track is split, you can edit left and right independently.
When you Export your finished audio file, the tracks will be mixed back into a stereo file.
