Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.

The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

adding the manual

Hi How does one add the manual so it works with the "help " menu in audacity ?
That is to say that at the moment there is no help topics , thus when you click on help it suggests to download the help manual so after down loading it how does one get it to integrate ?

Thanks

If you are you really using Audacity 1.2.6, there is no way to view the full manual in the help browser - you have to either view the help as it is, or

* download the full HTML manual, extract it to a folder on your computer, then view it in your browser by opening "index.html", or:

* download the PDF version of the manual.

If you are actually using 1.3.6 then you can either read the Manual online or install the manual inside Audacity. In either case please note the 1.3.6 Manual is unfinished, and many of the internal links won't work if viewed inside the help browser because the script that creates the HTML version of the manual is broken.
