Antares Autotune VST compatability?

Post by SubMatrix » Mon Dec 08, 2008 5:56 pm

Hi,

I just purchased Antares Autotune VST plugin, and I am having trouble getting Audacity to load it up. I followed the instructions to install the VST bridge by placing the vst-bridge.dll in audacity's plugins folder, and then I also placed the Autotune plugins in audacity's plugins folder. However, when I load up Audacity, the Generate, Effects, and Analyze menus have not changed. Does anyone know if Autotune is even compatible with Audacity? I read some stuff about many VST plugins causing issues with Audacity.

I am using Audacity 1.2.6.

I don't think it is compatible.
There is some information about VST compatible plug-ins here: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php? ... T_Plug-ins

Why not use it with a program that does support it (you could try "Krystal Audio Engine" which is free, or "Reaper" which is not free, but inexpensive). There's nothing to stop you from using more than one audio program on your computer is there?
