How do you import a pro tools project file into audacity?

My band is going in to record guitar tracks at a recording studio where they use Pro Tools.
We are only recording guitar tracks with pro tools and will later mix them in with other (vocal, acoustic, bass) recordings done at home in audacity.
My question is, how do I import a pro tools session/project file into an existing audacity project in order to layer these tracks in. Do they need to be encoded or somn? I've tried importing other audio file types into audacity such as mp3 and other software proj files with no luck. Shows up as giant wavelengths and plays only white noise.
If anybody has the answer I'd really appreciate it put in plain english for someone who isnt particularly computer literate.
My version is 1.2.6 whether that is important.
Cheers
