I thought I was downloading Audacity but what I got is AVS Audio Editor. Paid $39 for a license but this does not include the Audacity program. Help!

Re: AVS Audio Editor
The link from the Audacity website eventually goes to http://sourceforge.net/project/download ... -1.2.6.exe
This page has adverts, which are currently for "AVS audio editor", which is a commercial product and not associated with Audacity.
In my opinion, these adverts are a bit misleading - this is not the first time that someone has downloaded an advertised product by mistake (instead of Audacity).
The direct link is http://ovh.dl.sourceforge.net/sourcefor ... -1.2.6.exe but there is no guarantee that this link will not change - that depends on the SourceForge website maintainers.
I understand that SourceForge need to advertise for the financial revenue (bandwidth and server costs for SourceForge must be huge), but I feel that they have taken it a bit too far.
