Setting Audacity to Auto Record on a date/time?

Is there a way to have Audacity auto-record at a certain date/time?

What I'm trying to do is have audacity start up at say, Saturday at 8:30pm and start recording, and then stop recording at say, 4:00am.

I assume that you can somehow do this through some sort of windows command.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can't do it in 1.2, but you can in 1.3 - where the developers have added timed recording functionality. In 1.3 you access it from Tracks > Timer Record - it works well, I use it a lot.

Thanks! I wonder why it isn't available in the most recent version 1.3.6?

OOPS, I just noticed that in 1.3.6 it's listed under "Transport" instead of Tracks.

Thanks!

Thanks for the update Joe, I'm still using 1.3.5 - So I too may have not found it on 1.3.6 when I upgrade - useful info.
