Hey,
Ok I know I have a sound card and all. But is there a way I, can get my Audacity to record the sounds coming off of it?

Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

Re: Mic Help
I think they've been keeping the wiki up to date through Vista...
Windows Control Panel

It's really easy to rip off music and other shows with this technique, so Microsoft has been hiding it more and more as the software versions advanced. It started out a selection right up front, then it got pushed back to a sub-menu, then they really made you dig for it
I use Total Recorder for the PC, when I need it, and WireTap Pro for the Mac and let them figure it out.
