Question: Can Someone Help Me????

Ok, I Bought A New $140 Professional Microphone And It's Plugged Into My Computer By USB, Audacity Was Working Fine With The Regular Microphone I Had And I Was Able To Record Music An Everything, But Now That I Have This New Mic, It's Not Letting Me Record The Instrumental With The Vocals......I Can Record Vocals, Just Not The Instrumental......I Went To Preference And Put A Check Mark On The "Record New Track While Playing Old One" And That Didn't Work, The Volume An Everything Is On, I Just Don't KNow What The Problem Is.....Can Someone Help Me????

i import songs on there without the artist voice on there....they call it "instrumentals" so between the three selections u asked me, i'mma say i'm using instruments.....

I have no idea what you are asking. Why do you need to record the instrumental if you are importing it?

ok.....i rap on the side for fun, you know, a rapper....rappers use microphones to rap on, which i have......i used to have one that all i had to do was plug it in the back of my computer and when i record over an instrumental on audacity, everything was fine.....but i wanted a professional quality mic, which i just bought and it plugs in by USB.....ever since i plugged it in by USB, whenever i wanna RECORD A SONG OVER THE INSTRUMENTAL, i can't do that anymore, it'll only record my voice even when i imported the instrumental on there already.......help????

Can you describe, step-by-step, what you are doing, and what is happening. Try and explain it in away that I can do exactly the same thing on my computer.
