transferring files to windows media player
I am a new user (today). I have recorded and saved, but have not been able, despite having read te manual, to export the file to Windows Media Player. At the moment the file is in a D/ALBUMmyBox file. I tried dragging to WMP, but this did not work. Help!

Re: transferring files to windows media player
Open up your Audacity show and Export As WAV. WAV sound files are Microsoft Native and will play on almost anything, Microsoft or not. If you run out of room, you can Export As MP3 which are smaller, but MP3 files are a lower quality.
Audacity does not Save sound files. It saves Editing Production Environments (don't ask.)
