Audacity Free Won't Download FREE

IT says FREE download but goes to a credit card page where you cannot download unless you sign up for monthly payments ! And then it says the instructions to download it will come in my inbox !
You cannot go any farther unless you fill out a monthly payment system.
How do you download the FREE version of Audacity 126 ?
And why do they send it to your inbox to download it ? At least that is what the page says.

Because you are being scammed by some troll scrote - but fortuately you stopped to think and took time to do some research ...

You can Audacity freely available to download at no cost here: http://audacityteam.org/

Audacity is entirely "staffed" by volunteers - so once you become more skilled you might want to help out by posting solutions on this forum, or maybe you have documentation skills, or programming skills (the team is at the moment somewhat short of developers). If you have the right skillset, help of this kind is always welcomed.
