I am using Audacity with a new Memorex USB Turntable. I am copying my vinyls to a digital format onto my computer.
The problem is that the record is being cut off before it is finished. I wait until the tonearm lifts off the record and returns to it's carriage before pressing the 'stop' on the computer. This happens with 45,33-1/3, etc. Please help.

Re: Recording Length
Audacity will only record until it runs out of room. You should inspect your hard drive and see how much room you have free. How you do that changes with the versions of Windows.
I'm trying not to think about this, but it's also possible your USB turntable is broken. That happens a lot--some of them are broken right out of the box. "I'm on my third album and Audacity will not capture music any more."

Re: Recording Length
When the record finishes playing, you should see the recording meters drop to a low level, and the waveform become almost a flat line. That should not happen while the record is still playing, unless you have run out of disk space or some other fault.
