Recording Cassettes

I bought an Iconnex portable USB sound card because the advertising for it said it was a device from which you could turn your cassettes into digital format to put on your computer or ipod. It came w/ an audacity software disk and absolutely no instructions. I think this piece of technology, after looking at the audacity program is WAY over my head and all I want to do is figure out how to plug the device in to where I can get it to record music on the cassette and put it on my pc. There is no instruction manual telling me how to do this. The website "surgeforce.net" is just as technical and does not appear to be on point but rather on sound mixing. Where do I learn how to work this thing??????? ANyone? Thanks.
