Can I have playback auto-scroll, with a static cursor?

I don't know if that makes sense...
I would like to have my cursor stay in a static position on playback, and have the waveform scroll along while I'm zoomed in a bit. Years ago with Sound Forge, I would do this (I think you just hit 'C' to center the cursor).
I used it when I was transferring some old records. I would listen and watch as the songs slowly scrolling by. I could look ahead a little bit and see big pops and clicks that were coming up and I would set a marker at or near those positions, then go back and clean them up later. I could do the same thing with Audacity with the whole song fit in the window, but I like being zoomed in a little to warn me of potential spot so I can pay attention closer while listening.
So, I guess what I am asking is, is there a way to do a SF-like "center cursor"? Thanks.
