Recording Vonage Telephone Calls

Post by forthteller » Tue Oct 14, 2008 3:46 pm

I am not yet an Audacity user, but my OS is XP-Pro. Can I accomplish the task of recording telephone conversations with either the stable or the unstable versions? A link to the appropriate set of instructions would help. There is a Jasper plug-in that is appropriate for WinAmp that is no longer in development. Additionally, I have the usual things that come with internal and external burners. Then I have WMP, RealPlayer and iTunes.

Recording Vonage telephone calls is not something that I've tried, but I notice quite a few people have trouble with getting both sides of the call to record clearly. Some voip software comes with its own call recording software, and this is generally far more successful than a normal audio recorder such as Audacity.
Audacity can be used for editing the recording afterwards.
