Importing MP3 Stereo track

I am having a problem when import mp3 tracks. Always imports as a mono track even if the original was in stereo. Is there any setting for this?
My OS: Windows XP Home. Thank you for all.

Are you importing using "Import" from the file menu?
What about if you import a stereo WAV file?

I tried importing mp3 tracks through File menu (Open), Project menu (Import Audio), and drag & drop. Always imports as a mono track even if the original was (file properties shows)in stereo. When the same track was converted to WAV file it was fine. Is there any setting for this?

(Right click and "Save As")
Open Audacity and Import it from the Project menu. ("Import Audio...")
Does that import as stereo?
