I have some old cassette tapes i would like to burn to cd. I have no cassette player of any kind right now. I have a USB turntable with a 1/8 stereo input. Can anyone recommend a good cassette deck and what i need to connect it to my turntable?
Thanks,
Dave

Re: Best Setup For Recording Cassettes
I'm mainly just looking for a simple method of recording some tapes to wav then to cd.
I'm guessing i can buy a cassette player with a 1/8 output and buy a cable and connect it to my usb turntable?

Re: Best Setup For Recording Cassettes
There's a tutorial on the Audacity wiki about recording cassettes and will probably answer most of your questions.

Most cassette players use RCA connectors rather than 1/8" jack, but finding a suitable lead or an adaptor should not be a problem.
