1.26 Record Problem

I have Audacity 1.26. When I record off microphone I am getting input level on only one channel.
What am I missing?? Thx.

Audacity 1.2.6 is obsolete.
Audacity 2.0 is available here: http://audacityteam.org/download/

Set Audacity to record 1 channel mono. The sound will then come out of both speakers.

For future reference, it is generally much easier to give constructive answers if we know what sort of computer you are using (see the Forum Information in red at the top of this page).

Thank you for the reply. I have Windows Vista on a Toshiba laptop.

I did switch it to mono, but then the audio gets clipped as shown on the blue waveform.

Audacity 1.2.6 was never recommended for Windows Vista as it is known to have problems.
Please update to Audacity 2.0
