Latency when recording.

Post by alexey90 » Tue Sep 16, 2008 5:48 pm

Hi!
Last week i bought a Behringer UCG102 Guitar Link. That's a soundcard you put trough the usb gate, wich you can record guitar stuff from. My problem is that when i play at the guitar the sound comes a 1 sec or less later at Audacity(1.2.6.) , and that's pretty anoying when you play, because i get confused of both sounds.
Can anyone help me? :?:

Sorry for my bad english btw.

The delay is because you are using software playthrough. If the UCG102 has a headphone socket, you should use that for zero latency.

Yes, it do has a headphone socket, and i've tried with headphones that are connected trough a minijack adapter because the UCG102 has a 3,5 MM jack input.
May that little adapter be the problem?

Open Audacity and click on "Edit > Preferences > Audio I/O" and un-select (remove the [x] from) "Software Playthrough"
