First, I have just started to use Audacity. So I am a newbie but what I've seen so far I like.
OS windows xp pro svc pack 2. Audacity version 1.2.6. I am recording from vinyl using a usb turntable.
I have recorded each side a a separate track. No problems so far.
I want to use noise reduction and the documentation also says that I should normalize the audio.
What comes first noise reduction and click removal or normalization?
Also when I break up the large track into separate .wav files will the track info stay with the file.
What type of track info can I record. Track name, track number, artist etc. ?
Also is 1.3.5 the only 1.3 that I can get or are there any 1.3.x that are more stable?
Thanx,

Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

Re: noise removal and normalizing
A really good way to learn about Audacity is from the tutorials in the wiki, http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=Tutorials , and then just play around with Audacity for a while.
There's some very useful info in the "Tips" section as well: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=Tips
WAV files do not support "metadata", so if you will always be exporting as WAV, you can turn off the metadata prompt in "Edit > Preferences > Import/Export".
I found Audacity 1.3.4 to be very stable on Windows ( available here: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... e_id=50145 )
Audacity 1.3.6 sounds like it should be even better when it is released.
The rest of your questions are answered in those tutorials.
