2. i changed my format to .wav but still doesn't help.

The problem is most likely that the file is not really an MP3 file, or a WAV file, but in some other format.
In Windows, you can right click on the file and select "Properties" then look in the "Advanced" properties to see what format the audio file is (also the number of audio channels, bit rate, etc.). If Windows does not say that it is a WAV, or and MP3, then it isn't.
If that's not the problem, then it may be that the file name is using invalid characters - if it has any unusual characters (or non-English characters) then try renaming it.
It may be worth me mentioning that "vocal removal" very frequently does not work with MP3 files because the MP3 compression messes with the stereo separation.

What
sort of WAV? Could you post a screen shot of the Advanced Properties?

I got it ! finally !
as suspected the mp3 file might be corrupted. so i downloaded the same song from another source (also mp3 format)
and it works !
but the voice is not 100% removed.
I try to use Effect > Amplify (in negative direction) but the vocal echo is still there.
any other effects i can try to remove more of the vocals ?
Thanks !
