keyboard shortcut question

Post by drumboytko » Thu Sep 11, 2008 4:46 pm

I am an employee at a high school and I work with a student who is blind. This student uses Audacity quite regularly, having actually learned many of the keyboard commands. However, he recently asked me if I knew a way to select audio (highlight a portion) so that just that part can have an effect applied, be deleted etc. I use Audacity quite frequently myself and I honestly could not offer him another method to perform that operation other than clicking with the mouse button and dragging. Obviously, that would be impossible for him to do as he is blind and cannot see the screen. If anyone knows a solution to this, it would be greatly appreciated!!!
