My voice has unwanted reverb or slight delay
Out of the clear blue my latest recording had unwanted reverb or a slight delay on my voice. I am new enough with Audacity that I wouldn't have even known how to apply it so I am equally as challenged when it comes to removing it. Someone please help me!
Re: My voice has unwanted reverb or slight delay
Can you tell us exactly how you are doing the recording. For example:
Are you monitoring while you record?
Are you using speakers or headphones to listen to the recording?
Is it possible that your microphone is picking up sound from the speakers?
In "Edit > Preferences > Audio I/O" there is a setting called "software playthrough" which should normally be off (not selected) - check that it is not selected.
How have you got the Record and Playback settings in the Windows Mixer?
Can you reproduce the problem? If you make a new recording, is the echo there again?
