Setup Issue on laptop

Post by ronthet » Sat Sep 06, 2008 2:37 pm

I am very new at this, so I am sorry if this is a repeat question somewhere. I have a toshiba a135 s4727 laptop. My sound card is ver basic. I show realtek I thing, but I do not have a line in capabiltiy. I had a regular desktop before and used a program called audiograbber on it to capture streaming audio from the internet. I could for example play an album for preview on a web site and capture it with audiograbber if I wanted. The software had line in setup. All I know is I would have a mixer with mono, stereo, linein ,wave and mayber a few others. Now all I have is spearkers. Is here any software out there that would create like a virtual line in or I guess the question is how to get something that will allow capture of streaming audio wiht the laptop? Yes , Vista home editon.
