I'm using Audacity 1.2.6 with Windows Vista Home Premium.
I recorded a track and then added two additional tracks - beginning about 30 seconds into the original. I saved this as a "project," and now I want to mix everything down.
I could hear the original track when recording the additional tracks, and all three are visible onscreen, but only the 2nd and 3rd are playing back. The first track appears to be there, but no sound comes out.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Very helpful....will version 1.3x open projects created in v. 1.2.6?

Yes, but the project may be pre-damaged. Audacity 1.3 will open a perfectly well behaved 1.2 project.
