Hello,
I tried 1.3.5 on Vista, and it worked good at the beginning... But after I recorded around 16 audiotracks, it gets very slow, it uses about 1.854 MB RAM when playing, and when stopped it goes down to 302kb :S
So when I play what I recorded it f***s up
The More recorded tracks, the prog acts slow on vista 64

16 audio tracks is not bad for an off-the-shelf PC with no optimisation. The usual bottleneck is the hard drive( C:).
Make sure that you have plenty of free space on the C: drive and that the disk is defragmented. Close down non-essential programs and processes, particularly anything that is disk intensive. Windows Update and some anti-virus programs are known to cause slow-downs on some machines.
Avoid using very high sample rates. 48000 is more than enough for even professional quality sound cards. Recording at 16 bit is usually adequate as well, although if you intend to do a lot of processing, it may be worth using 32 bit for some of the tracks.
