Help with tracks!

Post by goku2000u » Tue Sep 02, 2008 2:10 am

I have a Home Theater Surround System. Now, I have always used Audacity, for 2 years. But, what I don't know how to do, is how to make my projects with all the speakers working. Like, I have one track, and I extracted it as an MP3. I put it in my HTSS, and the music only plays in two front speakers, not the ones in the back. Now, I have original music that have not been used in Audacity and the music plays around the room (all speakers work), which is cool, and I'd like to know how I can do that with my own music.

I know it's with "sound channels" or something like that. If anyone helps, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks. :D

Audacity was designed to manage any number of sound tracks between 1 and 16. The problem is usually that the computer or the sound drivers or the sound board will not support any more channels than 2 (left and right).

You can tell Audacity the number of sound channels in Preferences > Audio I/O > Recording > Channels.
