I have several MP3's I am working with and they are all different volume levels. Some are hot and some are softer. How can I make them all the same volume so that when I save them they are all equal volume. Sorry, this is probably easy but I am a newbie..

The obvious answer is to open or select one song and Effect > Normalize. Audacity in this version will automatically choose -3dB for you and that should work OK. Export to a new WAV or MP3 when it's done. Allow it to take the DC out.
You do need to do this for each song. There is no global or batch system. I know you wanted one click and they all come out right, like Mac iTunes.
It's possible that's not going to work. If you have one song with noise or distortion, it may have problems. If you get one of those, you can open it up, select the whole thing and manually change the numbers in Effect > Amplify until the loudnesses are closer. Then export.
