I wanted to cut out a part of Podcast that I have in iTunes. In iTunes it plays at normal speed. When I open the podcast in Audacity it plays fast. How do I slow down the play back. When I open other files from this same podcast person I get fast playback also some are faster than others. I know this podcaster has said he uses Audacity.
But they play fine in iTunes and on my iPod?
I know I can just slow it down in Effects, and maybe that is all I can do. Or is there some compress setting he is using?
I recorded some samples from a mic and my samples play normal. Other podcast play fine. So this seems to be a issue with this guys podcast/files.
What is going on?
Cheers,
Steve

Re: Fast playback in Audacity but file plays normal in iTune
It may be due to the file format.
Try upgrading to Audacity 1.3.13 and install FFMpeg, then try importing the files.
