my friend sent me a song from his audacity and its .aup and i cant open it on mine. all i want is to convert to mp3 so i can listen to it on itunes. i cant open the G** D*** file. ill attach the file. if anyone can convert it to mp3 for me then much kudos and this is what i will look like plz email it to [email protected]

The .AUP file is only part of an Audacity project. The .AUP file contains instructions for Audacity but does not contain any audio data.

Probably the best solution would be to ask your friend to send you an MP3.

alrighty then. i asked him to but he doesnt know how to turn it to an mp3. ive done some reading and dont you have to download like same lame.encoder thing that adds to the audacity application??

To Export in MP3 format he will need to install Lame from here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/FAQ: ... encoder.3F
Alternatively he could export in OGG format, which is similar to MP3 but open source and supported natively by Audacity.
