MP3 file only plays in one side of headphones

I recorded a couple old records and exported them to MP3 files and put them on my IPOD but when I play them the sound is all in one ear. I recorded them in stereo. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the reply. No, I don't have 2 waves. I recorded the records to audacity off a VIBE turntable attached to my computer via USB connection.
