Why does audacity not support right click.

Audacity is a cross-platform program (it works on Windows Mac and Linux). Unfortunately the different computer platforms do not all handle Right Click actions the same way. If I recall correctly there was some discussion about this some time ago, but there were issues with getting right click to work on Mac OS X in WxWidgets. WxWidgets is the tool kit that is used to provide the cross-platform graphical interface. The short answer is that it's been looked into but currently it does not work reliably enough across all platforms to be a practical option.
