Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.

The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

Hello!
My data folder is completely empty. Is there a way to recover the .aup.bak file?

Many thanks!!

Audacity 1.2 is seriously old and has stability problems on newer machines. Audacity 1.3 has much better disaster recovery tools.

The answer is no, probably not. If Audacity has "cleaned up" after itself, then it may not make any difference if you got the AUP file back or not. The AUP file is a just a menu of where everything is and what to do with it. You have a menu-only restaurant.

No food.
