Audacity Forum

I am having a problem with saving a file and need urgent help please. I have to give a big presentation at the weekend and have already saved and used one file, using it as a voice over for some of the slides. I recorded another clip and it plays back when I hit the play button in Audacity. I then export it to a WAV Microsoft signed 16 bit PCM (as I did with the other) but the file is blank when I try to play it either through Audacity or Windows media Player. I can't find anything that I have done differently but must have somewhere. Anyone got any ideas please?

Do you still have the original Audacity Project (both the .AUP file and the associated _data folder)?
Does the Audacity Project still play correctly?

Are you really using Audacity 1.2.6? (sorry to ask, but a lot of people that are using the recommended Audacity 1.3.13 post here in the Audacity 1.2.x part of the forum, so I just need to check because there's some important differences).
