How to repeat a sound

How to repeat a sound

i know this isnt related, but does anyone know how to repeat a sound on a project, without having to import that same sound a million times, just cuz theres like another 'drum hit' after a 'snare' , i dont want to have to import that same sound again!! theres like 30 sounds in this song im making...can anyone help please :)

You're right it isn't, so I've split it to a new topic and given it a more appropriate title. ;)

To repeat a selection you can use "Effect menu > Repeat"

Alternatively you can select the section then copy and paste it (either from the Edit menu or with the usual keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V).

If you're really using the ancient 1.2.x version of Audacity I'd highly recommend that you upgrade to Audacity 1.3.13 http://audacityteam.org/download/
