MP3 encoding problem
When i try to export the file as mp3 i get the error message 'could not open mp3 encoding library'. I have downloaded the lame_enc file form various locations but still cant get it to work. I have audacity version 1.2.6, its the only one i can use because this computer is old and uses windows 98 os. Can some 1 help? Thanks.

Audacity usually requires that you use a version of Lame that has been made specially for it.
Have you tried the instructions (and the lame installer) here: http://audacityteam.org/help/faq?s=install&i=lame-mp3
We may struggle to help you with this as I don't think that any of the forum regulars have Win 98, but we'll see what we can do
