Audacity records blank line from my Mixer

Post by Naya » Tue Sep 06, 2011 5:54 pm

Hey, some help would make my day! I've been reading and reading like crazy for hours and can't fix this problem!

I've selected my Mixer as default recording device and even as default communications device on my computer, I've also selected it under the devices tab in audacity. It's listed as USB CODEC Microphone on my computer and in Audacity. My Mixer is a Behringer USB Mixer.

When I swith my default to Stereo Mix Realtek I can record sounds off of my computer, but I get nothing from the mixer.

Yesterday it worked! I recorded myself humming, converted it to MP3 then put it on Itunes where I can now listen to it, that's my proof that this program DOES work and that I did something wrong since yesterday.

I did move the mixer from one room to another, maybe it's a mixer button problem, I'm new to using this Mixer. I can hear my microphone in the Mixer headphones, but I hear nothing coming into Audacity.

Please Help ME! :) Thanks Much!

"Stereo Mix" records whatever is playing out of the sound card.
Specifically "Stereo Mix Realtek" will record whatever is playing out of the RealTek sound card.
