Can't advance curser in play mode
Just got a new rippin fast PC worthy of doing some real production work .Problem is consistent even in windows player i can't advance once I hit play... No Jumping forward at all .. How bout a lil help for the newly upgraded..

Does the cursor move (and wave forms get drawn) when you hit the red record button?
Are you trying to play a project you have recorded - or one you have imported a music file into, if so what format was the music file?

Got passed the problem by going to the version 1.3.5 had worked with before.
But then as always "I've got issues Like tissues, the come with the package!" that's mine by the way..
I'm now up against the LAME problem .. Downloaded it but can't seem to get it where it needs to go .
I'm perusing the Import /Export but all I get is my AVG drops off then it goes now where.
SIGH!

Have you seen the Wiki page on LAME installation? See: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php? ... stallation
As far as I remember (and it's been a while since I installed LAME) you can install it almost anywhere - you just have to tell Audacity wher it is kept on your PC.
