Audacity vs. Line6 UX2

I recently purhcased a Line6 UX2 preamp for recording, but fishy things happen when used in conjunction with Audacity. When the UX2 is plugged in to its usb port, Audacity will not open at all. I have to unplug the UX2, wait for Audacity to open, then plug it back in. That's not such a bad thing to deal with. Wierd... but tolerable. The crazy thing is that I can't record with the UX2. I can select it as a playback device, and what's recorded through my computer mic will come through the UX2 into my headphones, but that's about it. I should also mention that I use Vista, and again that the UX2 is usb device. Help?!

Alrighty after hours of digging, I have found my answer. Turned out some driver went to crap. But thanks anyways everybody. Your support is so much better that Line6's.

I'm pleased that you found the solution so quickly - it could have taken us ages to pin down the problem :)
