When I load a song and try and play it, I keep getting an error message saying the following:
"Error while opening sound device. Please check the output device settings and the project sample rate"
I checked all my audio in my device manager and there's no problems. Anyone ever come across this??

In Audacity, go to the "Edit" menu, Select "Preferences > Audio I/O" and then "Preferences > Quality"saxman32 wrote:When I load a song and try and play it, I keep getting an error message saying the following:

You will see that there are options listed for Recording Device, Playback Device, number of recording channels, and default sample rate (in the "Quality" tab). One or more of these settings are incorrect for your recording device.
