Hi i have read the FAQs and looked through the tutorials but i'm not sure it has what i'm looking for.

i have a 45 minute mix that i would like to split into 10 minute sections for You Tube.

i wonder if someone wouldn't mind pointing me in the right direction?

thanks.
James

Not that hard. Put a Label (Control-B) at the beginning of each segment you want to export. Export Multiple and Audacity will present you with individual files of the music following each label.

You can certainly do this manually with the cursor on the timeline and Export Selection. That's intensely time consuming compared to the Control-B thing, but yes, that does work.

i've looked again as it seems it would save me time, but i can't work out exactly what i'm supposed to do.

i don't suppose there is a walkthrough for this action, is there?

thanks.

Download Audacity 1.3.5 - it's much better at this sort of thing than Audacity 1.2.x

The "Transferring tapes and records to computer or CD" tutorial on the Audacity wiki includes most of the steps you need (you just want shorter sections). http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=Tutorials

Audacity 1.3.5 also has an option for creating labels at regular intervals automatically (in the "Analyse" menu).
