Exporting same .ogg file over and over - Worse quality?

Hi, I have a simple question about exporting.
I finished a project joining a few .wavs together, exported it to .ogg but later on realized I forgot to add a fadeout to it.
Does opening and exporting the .ogg again after editing reduce* sound quality, or should I re-export from the .wav files after editing them instead?

Edit: *I meant maintain here

Yes encoding to a lossy format like OGG or MP3 always reduces quality. Re-export from the WAV files (or from the Audacity project if you saved one). That is a good example of the benefits of saving a project: a) you don't have to re-import files b) the project audio always retains the same quality.

Back-up exports to WAV though are always a good idea, nonetheless.

But do remember that Projects do not save UNDO layers.
