Audacity Segmentation Faults

I am having problems with Audacity seg-faulting. It happens when the computer is running resource-intensive programs in addition to Audacity. It segfaults as soon as I click stop or when I am saving. It doesn't happen every time either, only when the computer is especially bogged down by the other program (Mediashout 4).

Windows Vista and Windows 7 with the latest release of Audacity (1.2.6).

Did you build that version and are running it from Visual Studio?

We are no longer fixing issues in 1.2.6 because we want to replace it with a new 2.0 version based on Audacity Beta. You can get the latest release for Windows Vista and 7 (1.3.13 Beta) here:

I just downloaded the executable. I can try the beta.
