I'm trying to sing on a song, I import the song into Auacity, hit record, and sing perfectly with the song. But when i go to play the song and my vocals back, they are not anywhere near in sync at all. I cannot figure out why this is happening and wish for anyone to please help. Thank you
Singing on a song, perfectly intune. Recorded perfectly on beat. Play back what i recorded, its offbeat. How to i fix this

First, you should not double post. I merged the two topics.
It's normal to have some delay when recording... The process of recording is not instaneous... The audio captured by the mic needs to be converted from an analog signal into a digital signal, among other thing... all that takes time... (usually around tens or hundreds of ms, which can be enough to "ear" the off-sync behaviour)
To fix the already recorded tracks you can use the time shift tool to move one of the tracks forward/backward. You can change to the time shift tool by pressing F5 or clicking the double headed arrow icon like this: <-->
You can also play with the Latency correction in audacity preferences -> recording.
You posted in the 1.2.x section of the forum are you really using audacity 1.2.x? In most recent Windows versions you should be using audacity 1.3.13.

Audacity 1.2 is very old and no longer supported,
patched, corrected, or updated. Audacity 1.2 can
be unstable on newer computers (specially on Windows 7 or Vista). It runs fine on XP.
Download and install the latest Audacity 1.3 from here...
http://audacityteam.org/download/
You can install both audacity 1.2 and Audacity 1.3 on
the same computer, but only use one at a time.
Audacity 1.2 will not open projects made on Audacity 1.3.
If you use MP3 or some of the more modern audio
compression formats, get Lame and FFMpeg software
from the same web site. Do not use older software
or software from other web sites, even though they
may have the same names.
Audacity 1.3.13 has a lot of new and interesting features which are not available on Audacity 1.2.x.
Despite being labelled as beta it is close to the next stable release so it's already quite stable.
