I have a problem,I can't connect the sound cord to my inline from the prayer that will be used, and thether end to my computer's pink input .
The problem is that this software is not seeing that or picking up that theres sounds being playing from a tape and the jack has a cord on it,but the sound is not being shown that its being picking by this software to record it.
What an I doing wrong and how can it fix this?

Re: unable to get sound picked up
If you're using a (microsoft) Windows operating system, (statistically you probably are), you have to enable the device you want to record from in Windows recording devices for audacity to "see" the input from the tape.[email protected] wrote:The problem is that this software is not seeing that or picking up that theres sounds being playing from a tape
(you should use line-in rather than the pink microphone input: the sound will probably be distorted if you feed the tape output into the sensitive nic input)
If you are using WindowsVista or Windows-7 the some inputs may be invisible in "recording devices", see here to make them visible … http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 26#p119326
