Playback Recording Problems

Post by XNinjacoreX » Mon Aug 11, 2008 4:44 am

Hello,

I am currently having a problem with my playback recording option in the edit prefrences window. So...I was working on a song got 3 main tracks recorded 1 is the actual main track 2 are duplicates for the left and right ear. now im trying to make a 3rd track in the middle of the song that im harmonizing too. When I check the playback and record option sound comes out very low with alot of static everytime my voice comes out and sound only comes threw 1 ear. I've tried adjusting the mic settings on audacity and i've also tried adjusting them on my windows desktop. I am running on windows XP any help would be great.

Please try this test:

Set the recording channels to 1 (mono) in Preferences.
Set the default "Quality" settings to 44100 Hz and 16 bit (also in Preferences).

Close Audacity and restart it (probably not necessary, but just to make sure that the changes take effect).

Record one mono track.
Record a second (harmony) track.

How did you get on?
