Re: ERROR MESSAGE -WHILE OPENING SOUND DEVICE
I read similar just a while ago. Try searching "WHILE OPENING SOUND DEVICE" on the forum.
What do you mean by "in english" - is your audacity configured to different langugate.
Then it would be a small thing to correct it -- to put in into internationalization machinery.
Error while ...:
This is very generic error message. If you did not creat wrong setting just now, you should try restart the computer.
Check setting -- How to do it:
Edit > Preferences > "Audio IO" and "Quality"
You should try the most 'standard' 44.100 Hz, stereo (=2 channels), 16bit.
Select correct sound device.
If it fails, try mono. Perhaps try 48.000 Hz.
If your problem is not trivial, tell us your OS, sound device and the whole story.
And test if some other program (Windows recorder?) can do the action.
Perhaps somebody helps.
