I downloaded the latest version of Audacity for Windows Vista.
I downloaded the latest version of Lame_enc.dll
When I play a tape recording I see the signal trace on the screen and hear the music in my speakers when I play it back on Audacity.
I left click the signal and highlight it by dragging backwards from the end .
I left click File and choose Export in Mp3
I receive a message which says
Audacity does not export Mp3 files
directly, but instead uses the freely
available Lame Library to handle Mp3 file
encoding. You must obtain lame _enc.dll separately,
by downloading the Lame encoder,
and then locate this file for audacity.
You only need to do this once.
Would you like to locate Lame_enc.dll now.
I appear to have done this correctly yet can't export the file
My question is how to I locate the Lame_enc.dll file for audacity
Cant associate Lame Library

Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

Re: Cant associate Lame Library
The version that is recommended for Vista is Audacity 1.3.13, but you've posted in the Audacity 1.2 section.MaxB wrote:I downloaded the latest version of Audacity for Windows Vista.
Please check your version of Audacity (look in "Help > About Audacity") and upgrade to 1.3.13 if you've not already got it. http://audacityteam.org/download/
