I am new to audacity and have win7 and the latest win audacity installed.
my question is if one can raise the sound of the vocals over the sound of the music?
I have a song where I have altered the pitch some and the music is significantly loud which makes hearing the vocals much harder. Is there a way to fix that?
Please help,
thanks

It's dangerous to use fluffy phrases like that. Numbers are good. It's possible to download Audacity from the wrong place and actually have the wrong version. Current version is 1.3.13.I am new to audacity and have win7 and the latest win audacity installed.
We don't want to hear that you have "enough" hard drive space, either.
Sure, select the vocal track and either Effect > Amplify or use the volume control to the left of the track. Keep adjusting until the music sounds right. You can use the Envelope tool, too. That will let you change the volume note by note if you want. Then mix down to the final show and export.raise the sound of the vocals over the sound of the music?
If you already have a single, mixed, stereo show. You're dead.
