Hello All,
I have been lurking here for quite some time. I have never needed to post a topic/question because i am usually able to find the answer by searching previous posts. Until now. My problem is: I have long tracks(80 min) I want to be able to cut the tracks specifically at 20min intervals. i want to be able to jump to the specific selections but i dont want to use the selection tool. Is there a way to use the keyboard or mouse to enter specific selection times like 20:00 exactly. thanks in advance for the help

You can do it in 1.3.x but not in 1.2.x - in 1.3 the developers introduced a new toolbar called the Selection Toolbar - using this new toolbar you can do what you are asking for.

In 1.2 you can only label points in the Audio - so a selection range (for multiple export say) is defined by the section between two labels. To make the label jjust move yor cursor to the selected position and type CTRL + B, then type in the label.

Note that labelling is much better handled in 1.3.5 - editing labels is much easier (it's one of the key reasons I switched to the 1,3 Beta vn.). To make a label in 1.3 - just select the required section of audio, type CTRL + B, then type in the label.

BTW note that 1.2.6 the stable release is fairly old now - the "unstable" Beta (actally fairly stable now) is almost ready for release - so the developers have'nt really taken too long - it's just that its been in the Beta and not the stable releease. Developers extremely rarely retro-fit new features to older versions when they are working on new releases.
