Audacity Forum

I commenced recording from record to computer and have been successful up until today. After approx 16mins 36secs, the recording dropped out. The wave band flat lined.The microphone cut back to zero and cannot procede to rectify the problem. I cannot reset the microphone levels.
Is it a problem with the Audacity program? I was still getting sound via the computer indicating the computer was registering sound. But alas no sound is being sent to record.
How can i rectify this problem.

Patience is always an issue when disapointment sets in.
I downloaded the later version 1.3 and the same issue happened.
So i went back into the computer to reset it to a date prior to the problem. Whamo!! it now works fine. But this still did not solve the original. This is a quick fix.

Any chance you might be running out of free disk space?

Which windows version? How are you recording what and how do you have it all connected? You don't give us much information...
